Classroom Progress

Ok, I know I promised pics of my classroom. Of course everything isn’t done, and I wanted everything to be perfect! Then I thought to myself, who else would understand exactly what I’m going through, if not a teacher! We go through this process every year, arranging and re-arranging our classroom.

Well, I for one did not realize how hard it was going to be. A lot of my read-alouds for the beginning of school, and decorations and centers were packed away. I only had January-May in my classroom. It was easier after the tornado, just to pick up from where we were and move forward. So, I really have to think about where everything is going to go, instead of simply unpacking and placing it where it goes pretty much year after year, except for a bit of tweaking here and there.

So here it is, the good, the bad & the ugly!!! Don’t say I didn’t warn you!!!!

As you can see, I have stuff spread out everywhere!!!!!
Normally my shower curtains cover my mess on the shelves!
The bookcase behind my intervention table is normally filled with books, but I have nowhere to place it in the classroom without cutting off my line of sight!! Gotta keep my eyes on the kiddos!!
Though I still need to place books on it this year, because I don’t have any other space. Otherwise, I’ll just end up putting a lot of junk on it!!
If you look to the far left of this picture I pulled this bookcase out to create a reading space for my kids. When we arrived here in January, I just pushed it against that wall.
So, I pulled it out, painted that wall space, and added a rug!
Thinking about swapping the bookcase and trash can. Hmmm…..What do you think?
I also created these book bin labels, and I’m pretty sure I’ll end up changing them around
 before school starts.
Where would I be without my trusty glue gun!!!! With that orange extension cord I can take it all over the room, and even in the hallway!! (See how excited I get about small things??!!!?!)
This year we are working on becoming a Lighthouse School for The Leader in Me.
Here are the 7 habits of happy kids!!
I also put my numbers up, courtesy of Vickie Plant!! I absolutely love them, and they match my primary colors & polka dot theme!! Thanks Vickie!!
And my word wall!!!!
Ta-da!!! Phew!! Finally done! There you have it, my progress so far!!
I also completed my September Morning Work Packer for Kindergarten, because I have a feeling that the rest of August is going to go by really fast, and September will be here before you know it!!
Check it out!

Ok, sorry soooo long!!!

Talk to you later!!!
