In Loving Memory......

Hey guys, how's it going?

I hope everything is going well with you.

This week, my school family was dealt a

shocking blow, when one of our own

died in a car accident on the way to work.

She was definitely an early bird, driving at 5:20

to work in her classroom before students came.

There was a group of us who went to Louisiana,

to attend the Leader in Me Symposium.

Let me tell you, it was an awful feeling for us,

to be so far away from everyone, in trying to deal with this news.

She was so sweet, so funny......and it's so surreal at this point.

Seeing it on the news was even worse.

Hug your friends and family a little tighter today,

never forget to let them know what they mean to you.

Her funeral is today, and it's so hard to have to face that, but I know that we will band together

and do what we must, in honor of her.

Rest in Peace Elaine.....and know that we all love and miss you terribly!!

  9. Hi Angela,
My hearts and prayers go out to you, the staff, the children in her class, and her family. I lost my nephew 1 year ago due to a traffic accident and it is a extremely difficult thing to go through. Please know that I am thinking of your school.

  14. Hi Angela,

I just found you through Currently March. I am so sorry for your loss!
We are going to be a Leader in Me school starting next year. What do you think about it? I would love to hear your thoughts! Maybe when you are up to it, you could do a blog about it.

  15. I'm late in seeing this, but I'm sorry to hear of this loss for your school. Some years ago, my school had a teacher suddenly die during the school year, and we now have a hallway dedicated to her and the "reading bathtub" from her room is out in our nature center, painted with a special memorial. I hope your school can find some special way to honor this teacher. Thinking of you!
