Hey guys and dolls, how's it going?
I'm linking up with the Supergirls from Primary Powers!!!!
When you come back to school after Christmas,
somehow things start to get a little disorganized, so we thought
that now was the perfect time to do an organization blog hop!!
First off, I want to apologize for the pictures,
who knew that trying to take pictures of things in sheet protectors
would turn out so horribly!!!
Today, I'm going to talk all about organizing those teacher resources!!
Previously, we were given everything that we could possibly need
for planning in this cumbersome binder that was humongous!!!!
I mean, really, I didn't even want to fool with it, because it was just that big!
And as well all know, ain't nobody got time for that!
So, I was sitting in a PD work session with my friend Brooklynn,
who is half of the awesome duo that is Markers & Mascara.
I looked over and saw this awesome binder,
and of course I had to ask her what it was!
And do you know what she told me? She said that this was where she put
everything that she needed for lesson planning, and all
of a sudden I heard the heavens open up and angels singing!!
Now, I'm sitting there, thinking to myself.......
"Self, why didn't you think of this bright idea?!?!?!?!?!!"
Don't worry, my self didn't answer back!!
However, it got me to thinking, and I decided to create my own version!!
So let's take a tour to see what's inside!
(Now remember what I said about those pictures!!)
Of course, cute cover.....check!!!
First, I have my standards. I need those!!!
Then, I have all of my reading stuff, like sight words, assessment info, and
the comprehension skills and strategies that I definitely need!!
It helps me to plan, because I'll be honest, I don't necessarily use all of the
materials in our reading series, but this helps me to make sure that I am
covering the necessary skills using other materials.
Next up, I have my math standards and and the pacing guide from the county.
Then, it continues with writing, science and social studies.
It has helped me tremendously, and I take it home every night!
For your organizational freebie, here are some sheets to hopefully
help you to plan better and more efficiently!!
