Just a little update and a sale!

I had an awesome time yesterday meeting with bloggers from Alabama! We had a faboulous time, and it was great to meet with other teachers who have the same passion for teaching! Hop on over to First Grade Blue Skies for pics of the meet.

Well, I have great news! Teachers Pay Teachers will have a Leap Day Sale on Wednesday, February 29! If there is anything that you've been looking at, that is the time to get it!

I am so excited about my purchases from Amazon, which is my favorite place, especially with 2-day shipping. I definitely had to buy the "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover", and I can't wait til it gets here for St. Patrick's Day.

I have also ordered my copy of The Daily Five, and I'm so excited! I can't wait to read about this and hopefully implement this in my room next year!! It's kind of scary, but I'm ready!

I'm so excited about Dr. Seuss week! I have all sorts of activities planned, and I will try to do better about taking pictures and posting them to my blog.

Talk to you later!

  1. Love the St. Patricks Day stuff! CAn't wait for Dr. Seuss week either!

Go check out my blog and giveaway!

  2. Yay! So glad you got The Daily Five! Please let me know if you have any questions.

  3. Just found your cute blog! I'm now a follower! We implemented Daily 5 this year, and I love! Took some getting used to, but was worth it! Come visit soon!

    Peace, Love, and First Grade

  4. We just found your cute blog and are now your newest followers! Thank you for the book recommendations! We love the Daily Five (we bought our copies over winter break and look forward to implement next year as well!)

  5. I am your newest follower! I just picked up the Luckiest St. Patrick's Day Ever at the book story! I am having a giveaway on my blog! Come check it out when you get the chance!

  6. It was so nice to meet you yesterday! The Daily 5 is such an easy read. Before you start though I'd get some sticky notes to flag big ideas and I'd have a notebook to jot in. It really makes literacy stations so much easier!

  7. One more book to supplement the Daily 5: Reading with Meaning. They go together really nicely and the RwM book offers invaluable reading comprehension lessons that fit in the Daily 5 model.

Thanks for taking the time to drop a line!
