Just a little peek at our day!

Here’s a little peek at our day, it was pretty great! The older kids had testing today, and they also have it tomorrow. It was totally different for our kids, because they are not used to being quiet, even more than normal, because upper kids are testing. The best part of it all was that we got to eat lunch in the classroom! Tomorrow we’re going to take it outside and have picnic.

Yesterday I shared with you part of what I assign for intervention work. The picture below shows what we did today, and how it looks once we have corrected it as a class. The students check their work as we go through it and correct it if necessary.

We continued to work on subtraction in math. Here is a word problem (hehe, leftover from our Easter packet!), this is how we checked it afterwards, in whole group.

As we dug deeper into our Insect unit, we reviewed the Our Schema section of our chart, read a non-fiction insect book and then we completed our schema chart.

I hope you guys had a great day too!

  1. I had to smile when you said the best part of the day was eating lunch in the room. My school doesn't have a cafeteria, so that's the norm for us. That means our floors are disgusting and there is tons of cleaning that has to be done (mainly on my part) every day, so....not so great a part of the day in my world. However, I admit I love to hear the conversations my kids have when they eat and it's fun to do things out of the norm so I totally get it. Glad you had a good day! Spring Break is on its way here and I'm antsy!
